With years of experience working for environmental companies, startups and startup ecosystem, our founder and the company would like to add more business lead companies to our portfolio, as we aim to empower the female leaders of the future.
Origin Story
Transitioning from environmental engineering to digital marketing may not seem like an easy choice.
Having worked hard to earn enough money to afford an internship at a Dutch water company, I encountered both blessings and challenges. I vividly remember the day I decided to stop working as an engineer, a decision that troubled my family more than it did me.
After years of successfully running a blog and social media channels, and spending thousands from my vakantiegeld on online courses, the moment came when I knew my future wasn't in engineering.
Faced with no offers to work in marketing, I embraced the opportunity to start anew at 31 with a free digital marketing internship.
Shortly after beginning, a LinkedIn update caught the attention of former colleagues who introduced me to their CCO. This led to an offer to work in marketing.
The skills and knowledge I gained at GWE would later be met with skepticism by hiring managers, unable to fully grasp the scope of the word done.
Nevertheless, I remain forever grateful to the people of GWE for taking a chance on me.
